Take care of your dry skin
Dry skin is very sensitive and has a low level of sebum. This kind of a skin has a dry look as it is unable to retain moisture. It feels uncomfortable and dry after a wash until a moisturizer is applied. Cracking and Chapping are the significance of extremely dry skin.
Dryness get worse with air conditioning, extremes of temperatures and by wind. It looks dull specially around eyes and cheeks.
What Causes Dry Skin
* When oil gland does not provide required lubrication to the skin it becomes dehydrated.
* Exposure of skin to elements specially in winter.
* Can be a genetic condition.
* Deficiency of Vitamin a and B.
* Environment factors such as wind, sun, cold etc.
* Excessive use of cosmetics or by using a harsh soap.
* Diseases like eczema, dermatitis, etc.
* It can be a sign of under active thyroid.
* Intake of some drugs like antispasmodics, antihistamines etc.
How To Take Care of Dry Skin
Never use hot water to wash your face always use mineral water . Using a rough cloth to wipe your face can cause irritation. Dry skin requires careful and gentle cleansing .
Regular massage sessions and good amount of oil and moisture are necessary. If you wash you face with soap it removes dirt but takes away natural oil as well so a moisturizer is required to give you a moist and soft look.
To cleanse your skin always use neutral PH or non detergent products as other products have high levels of alkaline and drying elements. Always touch it gently. Apply a mild baby oil and then take a shower or bath. Before sleeping apply a nourishing cream every night.
Rejuvenator / Morning Skin Cleanser
* 15 minutes before taking a shower:
* Mix the following things and apply on you body.
* egg yolk -1
* Orange juice -1 teaspoon
* olive oil -1 teaspoon
* Rose water - few drops
* Lime juice - few drops
Beauty Mask For Dry skin
* Mix the following elements and apply as a mask:
* Rose water - few drops
* Honey � 1 Teaspoon
* Olive Oil - 1 Teaspoon
* Egg - 1
Night Moisturizing
First clean and then tone your skin. Splash water on your face and wipe of with a soft towel. Apply moisturizer. Cover your face with a clean towel dipped in warm towel. Give five minutes to your skin to absorb it and then wipe off the excessive oil with a tissue.
Day Moisturizing
Apply moisturizer on your face giving special attention to your cheeks, eyes and throat.
Do’s
* For crack lips massage them with cream of milk for some time.
* Moisturizer is essential after Cleansing .
* Apply bay oil or other moisturizing cream few minutes before going to bed and wipe off extra oil with a tissue.
* Use a facial mask once a week.
* Increase consumption of water.
Don’t
* Stay Out of overheated rooms.
* Don�t go out without applying a moisturizer in winter.
* Avoid waxy moisturizing cosmetics.
* Avoid Smoking as it has harmful effect on skin.
* Never use hard soaps and cleansing skin. Avoid taking bath with extremely hot water.
* Stay out of the sun.
